Overall these boots are very good. Ordered a full size down compared to sneakers. The boots are leather upper with a rubber sole. They're fairly easy to put on and take off. They took very little time to break in compared to other leather boots I've tried.While they are pretty good boots, there are a few things that could have been better for the amount that they cost:- The leather wasn't dyed evenly in some places. There are a few spots that remind me of watercolor painting, where dye overlaps. This can probably be corrected with shoe polish once they become a bit more worn in.- These boots could have come with Goodyear welt like similarly priced boots from other brands. This won't be a deal breaker for most, but something to keep in mind if it's something you're looking for.-- Update after wearing these boots for two months: --They hold up well in the rain, but not when it comes to snow. I live in an area where they use a lot of salt to melt the snow, so these boots developed large salt stains in several places. I've never had this happen to any of my other similarly priced leather boots. I tried using a leather cleaner product to remove the salt stains, but it ended up stripping the dye out of them, so I had to stop. I applied four coats of shoe cream on the stains, and they're still visible. For some reason the original coating isn't doing much to repel water, but at the same it also doesn't absorb shoe cream as well as others.
